The phrase "People don’t change" is so common. But is it true? We all change, and not because someone convinced us to. We change because we want our lives to be better, to be happier, more successful, or simply more harmonious. Sometimes, though, changes don’t happen as we expected, not as quickly or as radically as we would like.

In fact, every person has the right to make mistakes. It is normal to make mistakes, and no one is immune to it. We should learn to allow others to be imperfect. Instead of looking for excuses for their views and behavior, maybe we should learn to listen.

I want to share with you something that has greatly affected my self-esteem and inner state. For a very long time, I compared myself to other women. On the Internet, everyone has perfect breakfasts, smiling children, slim figures, successful husbands. And my porridge has boiled over, or I'm in sweatpants for the fifth day in a row.

When I was sad, I went to the store. When I wanted to please myself again, I went there. A new dress, shoes, blouse. Things piled up, and the joy from them lasted a couple of days. I caught myself thinking that I had a lot of clothes with tags, but still nothing to wear. And also an empty wallet and a feeling of guilt.

When I was a teenager, it seemed that being feminine meant being beautiful, well-groomed, wearing heels and tight dresses. Mom used to say: You're a girl, you should be neat and gentle." Magazines taught, makeup, hair, shoes and you're a lady.

Today I want to talk about what I am still learning to say "no" to. All my life I tried to be convenient: a friend invites me to visit, I go, even if I'm tired. A colleague asks for help, of course, although I myself am swamped.

Sound is not just a set of waves. It is a mood. An emotion. An atmosphere. And that is why quality headphones are much more than just an accessory.

I once thought that my destiny was here, in Ukraine. That love would come by itself, in my city, among familiar faces. But the years went by, and the men around me either became tired, or withdrawn, or simply did not want the love that I believe in.
