There are pains you can tolerate. And then there's toothache. It appears suddenly, clinging to a nerve like a thread, and tugs and tugs until you feel empty, hot, and anxious inside. It throws you off track, making you vulnerable, scared, a little angry, and very dependent on someone else's help.

There’s a special quietness in the last days of autumn — a kind of softness that feels like the world is taking a slow, deep breath before winter exhales its cold. The bright gold and fiery red leaves that danced so loudly in October now lie curled on the ground, almost like they’re tired too. The trees stand half-naked, half-proud, showing their real shape without all the decoration.

Sunrises and sunsets always touch me in a special way. There's something more to them than just the change from day to night.

I realized long ago: love doesn't thrive in a place where shouting is heard, where every word becomes a weapon, and every day a test of endurance.

There's the version of me that my family sees—the dutiful, traditional girl who follows the rules and believes what she's supposed to believe.

For my entire life, everything I've done has been framed through the lens of faith. My decisions, my values, my identity—it's all been built on beliefs that I received rather than chose. And for a long time that was fine. It gave me structure and community and answers to big questions.

I'm angry at my family for the expectations they've placed on me. I'm angry at myself for accepting those expectations. I'm angry at the fact that I've organized my entire life around being the stable one, the reliable one, the one who holds everything together—and nobody has ever thanked me for it. Nobody has ever thought to ask what I might need.

So now when people ask me if I'm okay, I immediately say yes even if I'm not. Because what's the point of being honest if nobody actually wants to hear it? 😅
