I'm not saying everyone needs to go all out with elaborate plans. But if you've been "talking" to someone for months and February 14th approaches and suddenly they're acting like acknowledging the day is some kind of trap—that tells you everything you need to know.

Not the flowers or chocolates—though those are nice—but what it represents. A day to honor the love between a husband and wife, the partnership God designed. 💕

Flowers, chocolates, jewelry, fancy dinners. And honestly? I love all of that. I really do. There's something sweet about someone putting thought into a gift, about being chosen and celebrated. 🌹

So self-reliant that I make myself an island.

For years I felt this pressure to defend my choices, to justify why I live the way I do.

Loneliness is empty. It aches. It makes you reach for anything to fill the silence. But solitude?

I don't mean just quiet—I mean actual silence. The kind where you're alone with your thoughts and there's no screen, no noise, no distraction pulling you away from yourself.
